Practising and funny mistakes

At school I was the one at handcraft who sat through the lessons doing the minimum. Why? Because I thought I cannot sew/crochet/stitch, you name it, as I overheard my teacher telling my mother that I was good at crafting, but all else was a mess. Well, now when I think about it, it was her job to teach me! So my skills with needle are not so good. But I'm practising. I made this little bunny. It was a hard task, and my stitches were sometimes OK and sometimes not. But I made it. The funniest part was, when I noticed he had two right hands... LOL. But here he is, Droopy, with only one pink paw, poor Droopy...

I also made a new dog for my kennel. He's a mixture of some unknown breeds...

Juhannus ei säiden puolesta ollut kummoinen, ja sehän tarkoitti sitä, että ehti askarrella! - Midsummer festivities are over, the weather was not so good, which meant that there was plenty of time for crafting!

Miniatyyrimarkkinat Lahdessa 2015 - Miniature Fair in Lahti

Mini-ihanuuksia oli taas saman katon alla vaikka kuinka paljon tänään Lahdessa. - So many cute things at Lahti Miniature Fair today. I got something for my 1:12 dollhouse, as well as for my Blythe girls. And here I also introduce my new little dolly; Fairygarden Tenten. I call her Flora, as she is a little fairy after all.

Kevät tuulia - Spring feelings

Jossain vaiheessa suunnitelmissani on aloittaa viinilaatikkoon kahvilan teko; Sokerihuurre, se tulee sen nimeksi. Tein sinne jo kukkia etukäteen. Ihastuttava purkki on Kati Kainulaisen tekemä. - Some time in the future I will start a new project (as if I hadn't quite enough of them already...), a cafe in a wooden wine box. It will be called Sugar Frost. I already made some flowers for it. The adorable pot is from Kati Kainulainen.

Sain keskeneräisen projektinkin päätökseen; pastillipurkista matkalaukku. - I also managed to finish a project; a suitcase out of a candy box.

Blythe tyttöni, Iris ja Sanne, juhlistivat taannoin vappua. Hyvän toukokuun toivotukset heiltä! - My Blythe girls, Iris and Sanne celebrated the 1st of May. Have a great month of May with lots of flowers and sunshine!

Se on uusi vuosi sitten! - So It Is Year 2015!

Tein tribuutti (vai voiko noin sanoa?) boxin rakkaimmalle harrastukselleni, lukemiselle. Opin lukemaan 4-vuotiaana ja sen jälkeen se oli menoa. Näen kaikki kirjat elokuvina mielessäni, joten lukeminen on minulle erittäin visuaalinen kokemus. Löysin Kasvihuoneilmiöstä laatikon, joka näyttää kirjalta. - I made a tribute box to my dearest hobby, reading. Yes, it might even surpass miniatures. I learned to read, when I was 4, and never have stopped after that. I see the books as a film in my head, so reading is a very visual experience to me. I found the box, looking like a children's book, and thought it would be a perfect little box for this.

Muuttokuorma saapunut - They've Moved in!

Pupujen muuttokuorma on saapunut, mutta tyyppejä itseään ei näy missään. Höh, odottavat, että minä siivoan paikat kuntoon. - Loads of stuff has arrived at the Bunny house, but not a sight of the bunny family. Right, they're expecting me to do all the clearing and cleaning up!

Blythe nukkeni ovat tyytyneet tähän asti pieneen yksiöönsä hyllyssä. Kaappasin mieheltäni vanhan
lapsuudenkotini liinavaatekaapin omaan käyttööni! - My Blythes have lived in their one room apartment, but then I got an idea and confiscated an old cupboard from my hubbie. This used to be in my childhood home used for linens, so I am the legal owner of it, teehee, (you know, I dont' feel too quilty of robbing this from him).
